Reception Centers Open to Evacuees
Lee County announced today that reception center has been established in the area surrounding the Harris Nuclear Plant.
The reception center is open to handle evacuees. This is only a precautionary measure and there is no threat to the public at this time.
Various county agencies along with voluntary organizations will staff the reception centers and provide assistance to evacuees if necessary. The locations of the evacuation Reception Center and Congregate Care facilities (shelters) are:
Southern Lee High School in Tramway/Sanford area located at 2301 Tramway Road.
