A las 08:17 el miércoles, 26 de abril
de 2017 Duke Energy informó a la Agencia de manejo de emergencias de condado de
Lee que se declaró una alerta en la Planta Nuclear de Harris de la energía
progreso al sur del Condado de Wake. Una alerta es una clasificación de
emergencia utilizada por el personal de planta cuando eventos anormales tienen
el potencial de afectar el equipo o la salud pública y la seguridad.
Funcionarios del condado dijeron la
situación actual en la planta no supone una amenaza para la salud pública y
seguridad, y no hay necesidad para las acciones de protección en este momento.
Duke Energy informó a los funcionarios
del Condado de un evento hoy en la Planta Nuclear de Harris. Funcionarios del
condado están vigilando la situación. Los miembros del equipo de respuesta de
emergencia hayan sido notificados y están en camino al centro de operaciones de
emergencia del condado donde seguirá vigilando la situación.

Alert Declared, No Protective Actions Necessary
At (time) on (date) Progress Energy informed the ________ County Emergency
Management Agency that an Alert was declared at the Progress Energy’s Harris
Nuclear Plant in southern Wake County.
An Alert is an emergency classification used by plant personnel when
abnormal events have the potential to impact equipment or public health and
safety.
County officials said the current situation at the plant poses no threat
to public health and safety, and there is no need for protective actions at
this time.
Progress Energy informed the county officials of an event earlier today at
the Harris Nuclear Plant.
County officials are monitoring the situation.
Emergency response team members have been notified and are en route to the
county Emergency Operations Center where they will continue to monitor the
situation.
