Early Thursday morning there was a single vehicle accident on Steele Bridge Road. The vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree. One person was injured. Northwest Pocket and Tramway Fire Departments responded to the scene. Other responders included Lee County Office of Emergency Services, EMS, Lee County Sheriff's Office, NC State Highway Patrol and Wake Med helicopter.
